Still Artsy

Here's a little something Madison made, just a doodle in her spare time - but it turned out really great.  She copied a color-by-numbers sheet, and then got busy coloring it in.  Turned out nice enough that I thought I'd scan it and post it here!

The heat is still on here, and it's been dry too.  The temperature is supposed to go down soon, but it's been an unusually warm summer here.  Hopefully things are coming to an end, but we'll see how that goes.  Never count these seasons out.  You're sitting there thinking it's all over with and we can just move on, but then summer comes back - or winter does - and we all collectively groan and say together, "Come on, just get on with it!  Can we just get this over with?"

We watered the plants out there, a process that takes a bit of time now as we have so many.  But it's all looking good.  Nana and Ye-Ye did a remarkable job with things.

Madison was working on her autobiography some, which I'll be sure to post in its entirety when she's complete with it.  She's also writing with some others a few skits in health, ones that teach kids on how to refuse offers for illegal drugs.

Tonight we were reading about the Katana Fleet in our Star Wars book.  We're full steam ahead with this book, and soon off to the next one, the last in this trilogy.  Madison is certainly a Star Wars fan.

We read from that and the devotional, and said our prayers for Ba-Ba, and for our nation.  It was a good day today, although a bit hot.  We've got a busy season coming up soon, but hopefully there'll be a bit of cooler weather with that.
