The new set is up, although we still have a few modifications to make on things. The voiceovers are done for the video intros, and things are looking good for our newest version of the classic series, "Romans." Of course, we're changing the name from "Gladiators" to "Romans," to emphasize the fact that we're looking at the book of Romans. There are couple of titles I'd like to change over time, but we'll get to them. In the meantime, things look good for this new series launch, including the completed first part of the drama, the newly edited videos, and of course the set you see above.
It's cold outside, but it appears as if we'll get no snow at all this year, not even a flurry. This is somewhat disappointing, as things seemed to be lined up pretty well for us with pretty chilly temperatures mixed with frequent amounts of precipitation. We hope for one good snow to go out and play in, and that's about it. Meanwhile, the rest of the country is hoping for the snow to stop for just a bit. This year, neither of us is getting our way! Next year, should it snow, we'll all be pretty grateful for it, having missed it for two years.
Madison had her vocabulary test today, and she did okay on it - not as great this time. She's got a few B's lately, but the averages overall are still all A's, except for one class, I think. But even that class is an 89 right now, and there's plenty of time to lift that up. She's doing well, despite all the craziness of the schedule. That's why the weekends are a great time to stop and not do as much, at least for her. We'll be focused on the new series, of course, spending some time at the church tomorrow. But it won't be as stressful as it used to be, not by a long shot. Ten years ago we were a huge team staying up into the late hours trying to get things set up for a new series, getting really very little sleep as we came into that opening service. Things are remarkably different nowadays. Today there were three of us in the office, and tomorrow that might be a similar number. It's quiet here, and we're still rested and ready to go with a huge series launch. We just have a better way of doing things now, I suppose - we can build Rome in a day!
Meanwhile, Madison was at home with Minecraft building lava worlds, or listening to her music. She's doing artwork too, making origami flowers and birds. We read tonight together, a precious time together before sleep. Daddy got home later, but had to rush home before Madison and Mommy went to bed. It's going to be a big weekend, so we all got to bed early tonight after reading and prayers - and zerberts.
