Tonight was the annual Edge ATA Trunk or Treat event, and it was just perfect. The rain came down all day long, and just as the kids were about to enjoy the event tonight, the weather cleared up and things turned out so well. There were cars decorated in such creative ways, from a "Baby Shark" car to a "Calvin & Hobbes" car to one with Deadpool standing by. There were many, many more, of course, and each one offered all kinds of candy. There was even one that was decorated like a Starbucks, where the people in the vehicle poured out hot chocolate for passersby. Yes, please!
Of course, there was the traditional portion beforehand, where the kids learned moves and broke boards. Madison has already done this a few times, and in fact this was the event that drew her to taekwondo in the first place. It was this event that sort of introduced her to all of this, and not long afterwards, she was doing a rank camp, and then doing this weekly. So as far as marketing goes, it's a successful event, introducing kids to what this is all about.
As for the event itself, it's a lot of fun for everyone. Costumed kids are everywhere, and Madison came home with so much candy as well. She's been really looking forward to it, and we were concerned with the weather forecast. But as usual, things cleared up, and we were blessed and highly favored. It was a very nice night!
You can see her in a most appropriate costume, her Chun-Li outfit. She looked great doing martial arts on the mat. There were a lot of kids there, and that was good to see too. Lots of people were here, celebrating!
It was a great day otherwise, and lots of fun for everyone. Halloween is coming soon - here we go...!
