Transylvanian Romanian Cave Cheese

You know you vant this!  It's Transylvanian Romanian Cave Cheese!  Soaked in Red Wine!  Aged in a Salt Cave!  I don't have much of an idea of what any of this means, but the packaging is so awesome and we can't wait to try it.  This will go perfectly with a showing of Wallace & Gromit, which should come soon enough!

Today we were playing "Stitches" on piano, and Madison has a long way to go until we're a bit more proficient with that.  But she's enthusiastic about the song, and so you can hear the melody playing frequently in the house.  Speaking of which, we have an appointment with someone to come and tune our piano shortly.  Madison will love that, actually.

Mommy and Daddy were checking out this nice restaurant this afternoon for a quick date, a place that serves only chicken salad.  It's actually not bad!  After that, we're still looking for overalls for our Wreck-it Ralph costume, at least some that can fit our actor we're using on Sunday.  We went to a few tractor supply stores, before giving up and ordering something online.  Ah, the Quest for Overalls continues!

Daddy was writing another devotional entry today, and Madison was back in the swing of things at school, although there are a few tests this week.  There's a quiz Wednesday, a summative science test on Thursday and there's a test on Monday as well.  Madison finished her book tonight, "Among the Hidden," reading that in the car on the way to piano.  She loves this book, and actually wants to read some of the other books in the series.  At piano, she was doing well, although there was some practice still left to do on that song "Stitches."  She'll be practicing that a lot these next few weeks.

There's not as much time in the evenings anymore, now with piano and taekwondo after school.  School gets out so late, and then there's activities usually scheduled.  We had just enough time to sit and watch "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," which is a classic!  Everyone loves that movie, and it's "must-see" viewing each October, isn't it?

We read another chapter from Nancy Drew's latest adventure, this one up in an old attic.  Mommy thinks she's figured one thing out, and I think she's right about the teddy bear in the attic.  But we'll keep reading and see!

It was a nice day today, and we're hoping the nice weather continues through the week, as we have big plans on Friday and Saturday.  There's another hurricane out there that could affect us, but we'll have to wait and see about that.  Regardless, it's been a very nice October for us already, and we are really quite blessed!

Time to sit down for a nice relaxing evening with some pumpkin cider, and Transylvanian Romanian Cave Cheese.  Mommy and Daddy set up some old television themed shows tonight to watch, some with a Halloween theme to them:  Newhart, Happy Days, and an old episode of "Sonny and Cher."  It's been great fun looking back at the past, and doing a bit of laughing as well.  No doubt we'll keep watching these old episodes online where we can find them.  Got to find the Munsters too - that one's a classic.  And we'll probably watch David S. Pumpkins again... it's a fun time of year!
