Sanderson Paper Dolls

So here they are, the Sanderson sisters.  We found these paper dolls online, created by someone who is obviously very talented.  Daddy cut them out today during a big break in his work schedule, along with a few extra outfits for the sisters.  Later on, we used hot glue to sticks and plastic caps so they can stand on their own - they'll make for some nice seasonal decorations!

There is a big conference at the church, and that means that Daddy has been pretty busy, working a fairly long day.  It's been a good conference though, and those attending are enjoying it.  It just means there's not much time for doing anything at home, and that's okay because it all comes in seasons.  Next week, we'll have more time together.  Tonight Daddy had this odd extra task that went beyond the normal, and this was fixing a woman's shoe.  It was such a bizarre request, and believe it or not, I was able to mend things so she could wear it the rest of the conference.  But for a time, I was sitting there with thread and hot glue and so forth, a little cobbler at work.  The rest of the conference was a mishmash of activity, but again, it was all good.

Madison did well on her tests that she studied for, although there was this one confusing test question.  And that's the bane of tests, these confusing questions.  I've seen more than a few, and it almost seems like they're designed to trick the people taking the test.  You know the answer, and that's the frustrating part, because you're sitting there trying to figure out what the test is asking you to do.

It was just one question.  Madison said she nailed the rest, but that one lingered a little in her memory.  It's okay, we told her.  You're doing so great!  And indeed she is:  she has all A's, and she's doing well with martial arts and piano, and she's doing great at KidPak too.  We're very, very proud of her!

Anyway, it's been a long day.  Daddy had a hospital visit, and Mommy had to do some grocery shopping too, but beyond that it was an ordinary sort of day.  Fall break is approaching, and Madison is excited about that.  We are too!
