Leading Punch!

Here's Madison in front of the class tonight at the dojo, showing the others how to do a few of the various lunges, punches and kicks, and she looks great!  She was facing us in the waiting area, all of us looking through the glass there as the kids did their kicks and punches.

Class is going so great, and you can see here that she's really enjoying it, and just loving her teachers Bart and Christine.  Madison has two stripes on her orange belt now, and is pretty close to getting her next belt soon, the yellow belt.  She's leaving behind ballet without even looking back.

Speaking of looking back, here's something we found from many years ago, an ironic find!  It's Madison using a set of nunchucks for the first time!

That seems like so long ago now.  I actually didn't even remember this video until I spotted it when cleaning up the computer a bit.  The running joke - which isn't that clear here - is that Madison would knock someone down, and then give them a kiss on the cheek in order to resurrect that person... only because she wanted to attack them again!

Today was a good day at school and work, setting up for a big church conference this weekend, plus various service-related things tomorrow night.  We're back to the message "It's a Trap" one more time (we keep that theme for the week).  The college kids here have been tremendously helpful and are doing a great job of helping to carry the burden of small groups.  It's been great for the kids, and everyone else involved.  We have a great service plan set up, showing clips from movies and doing activities, all of them geared towards our bottom line.  Also, it's a holiday tomorrow, so I wanted to show at least one video in that direction.

Tonight we did our usual thing with reading and prayers.  Daddy has been visiting at the hospital with someone this week, and there have been suddenly many opportunities for us to help others popping up left and right.  It's so great to be able to do these small things to help others or at least be by someone's side when they need it.  Very thankful that we can be used in such a way.  Tonight, we prayed for these individuals, for our country, for our church, and for another good night's rest.  Then came the zerberts!
