Reindeer Games

It's getting downright cold outside, and the weather forecast even calls for a bit of snow tonight and/or into tomorrow morning! Madison knows what snow is and remembers it from before - it's one of her favorite words! It's early in the year for snow. We'll see what happens in the morning, but it would be nice for her to see it again.

It's been frigid outside, but it was warm inside over at Ye-Ye and Nana's house, where we spent a few moments making reindeers. Actually, they were reindeer magnets for a refrigerator - and each one had a red nose (please, don't laugh and call them names).

Madison truly enjoys doing different crafts. Ye-Ye had things set up nicely for everyone, and Madison followed his instructions intently and carefully so that she too could have a reindeer to put on our refrigerator. You can see from the photo above that everyone was quite pleased with their creations.

Afterwards, we all watched Merry Madagascar in the living room - it just came out, and was actually pretty funny (if you liked the other Madagascar movies, you'll like this one). The kids laughed really hard all the way through, though Madison seemed to enjoy jumping on all the adults in the room a little more.

Today, Madison really got the hang of the Christmas carol "Deck the Halls." Or, at least she got the hang of the "fa la la la la" part. Daddy would sing the first part, and Madison would follow up with her "fa la la la la." It's been pretty funny - I hope to get a recording of it before the season passes.

Well, it's time for bed - or at least to snuggle and watch another Christmas special or two. That blue stuff on the radar below represents ice and snow - and it's heading this way! We'll see what happens tomorrow...
