Free Chapel's Christmas program was a wonderful event to attend, and be a part of. Look closely above at the Nativity Scene from tonight's program: to the far right you can see our Madison, dressed in a lamb's outfit. She's seated in someone's lap (who you cannot see because of a silhouetted tree).
Madison did so great tonight - we were so proud of her. As thousands of people looked on from the audience, she went to her spot and stayed perfectly still, not making a fuss at all. And she was so cute in that little lamb outfit too!
The children performed the nativity story flawlessly tonight, as Daddy narrated each portion, from Gabriel's message to Mary to the census announcement to the visitation of the Wise Men and shepherds. We set up a nice little Nativity set with all the children right there on the stage, and with that many children dressed up in costumes, you can't go wrong!
For the remainder of the service, the three of us stayed back stage. We told Madison how proud we were of her, and the very first thing she did for Daddy when she saw me was give me a big kiss. How blessed we were tonight! Our whole family got to be in the Christmas Eve performance, one that everyone really enjoyed.
As the candles were lit for the candlelight portion of the service, we sang songs together, a happy family. Only two more sleeps 'til Christmas!
