The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

One more practice until the big performance! Madison handled Christmas play practice tonight like a champ. It was three hours, and a lot of waiting back stage where it could be dark and scary. But she did much better today despite the late hours and change of scenery.

In our play, Daddy is the narrator and Mommy portrays his wife, both grandparents entertaining a few small children on Christmas Eve. When the kids want to hear the Christmas story, grandpa is only happy to oblige. As the story moves on, kids dressed up as characters from the story come out and act out their parts.

Madison is a pro. Ask her what a lamb does and she'll go: "Aaaaaaaa!" It's not quite "Baaaaa," but who has ever heard a lamb actually annunciate that opening "b?" REAL lambs go for "aaaaaa!"

Can you believe Christmas is almost here? It's seemed at times like a marathon, and at other times it has seemed to whiz by. But there's just two more sleeps 'til Christmas. Daddy still has some shopping to do, and of course the big church service is tomorrow night.

It will be absolutely wonderful!
