2BD TBD

Maddie was having some pretty good timed spinning kicks tonight in sparring, and doing a pretty good with taekwondo.  We're marching towards May 15th when she gets that 2BD.  I misheard it - as did Maddie - when Mrs. Edge said that.  We heard TBD, which of course is "to be determined."  But 2BD is in fact Second Belt Decided.  She'll officially be a second-degree black belt, and on her even longer journey towards that third-degree, which is something like three years away.  Yeah, sometime during college.  Let's not go there.

Anyway, it was a decent day today.  We had a lot to do for Mom with dental work, while I was there for a check up.  Both procedures went well, and the dentist was at a new facility.  Our same dentist that we've been going to for many, many years now - he's moved from the older building, and that's a good thing.  There was all kinds of nostalgia to that previous location, but it was fading from it's previous glory, and quite empty of other tenants.  This is a small building for just two dentists, and it's not to difficult to get to, although we had initially a difficult time finding it.  While Mom was getting the last of her teeth seen to, I was reading more from "Feet of Clay," which has been a really fun book.

Our bluebirds are still here, this going back a few generations of bluebirds now.  Mom would wish for some of these, and we set up the feeders in the right places, each one of the right size and we'd wait - but no one showed up that first season.  But the next season, sure enough we had a family and that was exciting.  And then that grew and now we have multiple families and it's just been a nice thing to see the bluebirds visit alongside the cardinals and other colorful birds.

We got the car's emissions testing done today, stopped over at Big Lots in Cumming to see about tubs, and also got the canopy up for the back deck.  Now we can sit back here as teh weather gets warmer, and sit in the shade.  We have a lot more work to do on the yard though.  Still, we were focused on cleaning up on the inside of the house too, which we were working on today.  Mom's been doing the laundry - still - for the Easter costumes, getting those ready to bring back and put away.  We were also doing a bit of Weird Science work too, creating slides and so forth.  Part of that "research" was watching the second misadventure of Merlin Jones tonight, a movie called "The Money's Uncle."  Again, please don't judge me but I love these movies.  Random science fiction that is so fictions and fun, and this movie has The Beach Boys in it too.  Plus Annette Funicello and Tommy Kirk, of course.  It's just fun, and it's reminding me of what the series is supposed to be - fun.  

Moving on, Maddie had her taekwondo today, as mentioned above.  Mrs. Edge, as mentioned above, is really back, still recovering from a surgery but doing well.  It's a great atmosphere there, with lots of students and a lot of talking and laughing afterwards.  And yeah, some laughing during too, sure.

Maddie did have homework to do, and she was doing that while Mom and I were watching Annette and Tommy on the television.  But afterwards, we were watching "Ultimate Spider-man" - just one episode there.  Afterwards, it was time for bed.  We read and we prayed, and yeah, it was time for sleep pretty quickly after that.  School day, and another school night.
