Godzilla vs. Unadilla

We slept in this morning, and went to the balcony to say goodbye to the ocean once more.  The weather was remarkably cooler now - the stormfront brought along with it some chillier temperatures.  But still out there were the dolphins, which we've almost gotten used to seeing.  It's just a neat thing to see dolphins from your balcony.

We drove home, and had an easy time of it, thanks to some nice music and a few of our other traditions.  One of them is the Driving Alphabet Game, where we try and spot words that start with each letter in alphabetical order.  You can imagine some letters are easier to find than others - right around exit 49 on I-75 is a sushi restaurant that starts with an "X," which is a real game saver.  Otherwise, you're stuck!  Simply look for the easier "Y" after that, and then there should be a few "Zaxby's restaurants" on the way back, or some "Work Zones."  And then there's Zebulon Drive somewhere near Macon.  In fact, there's one exit that has a huge amount of Z titles.

Anyway, we went home easily again.  Once again, we passed by Unadilla.  Sadly, Godzilla was not in Unadilla.  But the name "Unadilla" always struck me as sounding like the name of a Godzilla villain.

Perhaps if the Unadilla Chamber of Commerce were to get on top of this whole concept, I think tourism would go through the roof!  Right along with Godzilla's foot, right?

Anyway, we stopped at our now nearly mandatory Chick-Fil-A in Cordelle, nearby the Confederate rocket.  That's been our traditional stop on the way home, along with getting some cheap gas next door.

Madison was reading her "Amongst the Hidden" series some, playing Mario Odyssey some, using Pic Collage some, and listening to her own music in the back with her new BB-8 headphones.  Mommy and Daddy were listening to all kinds of music, keeping it lively to keep us alert all the way home.

Atlanta was a traffic mess again, even with nothing going on in Atlanta tonight.  It's just the way it is now, a fact that we can't drive through Atlanta anymore without stopping.  Of course, Henry County had a place where we were all in a bit of a traffic jam too.  Georgia growth may sound great to others, but at times like this, it's not that awesome.

So we got home eventually, and how nice to drive into your own neighborhood again, and say, "We're home."  One funny thing of note:  Madison's balloon that she hid over a week ago in the game Mario Odyssey... is still hidden.  No one in the entire world has found it yet.  Meanwhile, all our other balloons were found within a few hours, even some hidden using elaborate methods.  Not this one though!  We were laughing at that in amazement.

We said our prayers tonight, happy to be home, and happy to be in our own beds again.  It was a nice vacation, a truly relaxing and rejuvenating one!
