Final Chestatee Portrait

Here are the last official portraits from Chestatee Elementary School, and we kind of like them.  Okay, we really like them.  We actually bought several this time, giving copies to the grandparents, and ready to frame a few ourselves.  Today was Monday, and there was a bit of ballet to do tonight, but we had time for piano, and the usual magical trip to the car wash.  That latter bit was completely necessary, as the car still had all kinds of salt on it from the beach, thick and difficult in places to see through 100%.  It was just annoying.  So we cleaned the car inside and out, while Madison was back in ballet again.

Mommy did the taxes today, and it's no surprise we'll be getting some back, as we've been overpaying.  We can buy a bed with that, or perhaps a trip somewhere.  No, that's just dreaming.  The bed is kind of important.

We've been reading some more before bed and prayers, getting deeper into this fascinating book, "A Wrinkle in Time."  It's certainly a bit more surreal.  Before bed, we had time to play Street Fighter 3, which was Madison's request:  she spent a few rounds whooping up on Daddy as Chun Li.  She likes the game, and of course Chun Li is her favorite character.

Tonight was the time for the final yearbook touches.  No more references to yearbooks now - until the yearbook comes out.  Hopefully everything will look fine when these arrive.  Madison's face is in there at least ten times, and her artwork is all over the place from the first page to the last.  She's been a big part of it.

This morning, Mommy made another delicious breakfast on the skillet.  Madison loves the presentation of all that food on the skillet.  Another thing she likes:  spicy sausages.  She had some with spaghetti down in Florida, so Mommy picked up a package of them, and she's hooked.  She loves spicy stuff anyway, so this was a no-brainer.

Okay, it's time for bed.  But first, a few more last-minute touches on the yearbook...
