Mal Fan Club

This morning marked the return of Mei-Mei to the big stage at KidPak, as you can see above.  She and her other friend Alyssa are part of the Mal Fan Club, obviously ecstatic that they can be posing for a picture next to Mal herself.  The skit itself went very well, with Madison nailing her lines with so much more comfort and poise.  She really wanted to be on stage, loving every moment of this, and actually pretty clear with her voice on stage.  She was microphoned well, as were all the actors - it turned out really well.  It was a good morning at KidPak!

Daddy went to prison after that.

We did a lot of filming this afternoon at a local prison that was more heavily used in the 60's.  These days, prisoners visit on weekdays to clean it up and so forth.  Daddy has a surprise cameo in the movie, not what you see above.  But for the rest of the time, it was great helping out with the filming crew, and of course taking pictures.  Daddy took a lot of pictures.

Here's Josh filming Daniel, who is dressed up as Praxis for one more round as a villain with our Heroes series.  You can see that he's seen finer days, as he's locked up in one of those solitary confinement places.  There were four or five of these cells, and they were genuinely creepy.  The whole place had a bad vibe, of course, as do most prisons.  And a bad smell too, although nothing blatant.  It was all just an aura, something probably found in prisons everywhere.

Nevertheless, we made the best of it and had a great filming session with about eight of us there in a prison area all to ourselves!

MEANWHILE, Madison was doing yet another run-through of the "Frozen" production, just another reminder of how close we are to the actual day of dancing for her and the other girls.  It went on a few hours after church, so Madison was over there, doing a bit of dancing, but mostly waiting.  She has a small routine in the near middle of the production, so while she was not out performing, she was training to wait with the other girls.  Which is something she doesn't mind:  she loves her friends there.

We all met at home, and Daddy continued his reading of the devotional, and the latest adventures of CJ Hook.  It's all about the Descendants lately.  And that makes sense, of course:  Madison is a member of Mal's Fan Club!
