Daddy was racing around to get a lot done today, but it all ended up at the school for about nine games of BINGO. This was something we did last year, and now this year, and for eight of those rounds, we had pretty much the worst luck in the history of BINGO. Which is to say, something fairly typical for Daddy. The kid across from us actually won twice during this span, just to emphasize how bad our luck was. One stretch, Daddy didn't even get a single number for fifteen turns. It was one of those nights. But two things happened: first, this girl above has a brother that won twice, and he gave his prize to Madison. And then right after that, on the very last round, we won! Madison was so happy, she said she was overheating! She ran up to collect her prize, and she picked out a paint by numbers kit that made her super happy. And as for that other prize that was given to us? Madison gave it to another boy who came away from the evening having won no prize at all himself. So there were plenty of winners tonight, and it was certainly a bit of fun.
Here's the back side of the Uma jacket that Mommy has been working on in the meantime. She sewed that extension on below, making it look like some sort of tail, and then painted it all, putting on epaulets and painting the logo on the back. The hat was a challenge, but she painted some orange netting a gold color, and spent a really long time braiding the hair extensions that come down from the hat. It's a pretty amazing costume she's put together! We'll see the front of it soon enough, as it will be on someone this Sunday.
In the meantime, Daddy was at work, where they like to keep the temperature somewhere close to subzero. Fortunately, Daddy has a an idea to beat a cold office:
Okay, not really. Anyway, he got the script done for Sunday, along with a few other tasks, of course. Madison came home on time, and said she got a perfect score on her vocabulary test. On top of that, she brought a report card home, and once again, she's on the honor roll! We're so very proud of her - all her grades were way up there, closer to 100 than anything. Math is the only one that slipped a bit. But it's still a 93, and that's something Mommy and Daddy would have been ecstatic to get on their report cards!
We watched Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. tonight after bingo, and now we know who the Superior is, and it's something typical crazy that - as usual - throws everything off balance. We all sat together in the bedroom, watching the episode off the antenna, a little shocked at the turn of events. Definitely somewhat unpredictable!
Afterwards, it was time for reading, prayers and bedtime. We've got a big day tomorrow, one dancing. Daddy is ushering at the first production, and it's just about sold out. The second production is nearly there too, and that's the one we're going to sit in the audience for. Camille and her mom are coming as well, so it'll be sweet for our other Elsa to see the "Frozen" ballet. It should be a nice day tomorrow, and the temperature is certainly appropriate for that sort of thing. In fact, we're reading about some chilly predictions for Easter and April in general. It appears as if Elsa is in fact not "letting it go." April is looking pretty cool!
