Still Painting Eggs

Check out these eggs that Maddie's been painting.  Maddie and I have been working on these eggs for Mom's basket, a sort of recreation of Mt. Rustmore with eggs.  You'll see the final product in a few days on Easter, but Maddie's been working on this, and another fun part we're putting together as well.  It's a simple idea, but we like it.

There was so much fog in the morning that get this:  you'd be in the parking lot at East Forsyth High School, and you couldn't see East Forsyth High School!  Crazy, huh?  We had cold rain today, and it was generally a miserable day to be outside, and left one wondering, "Isn't it supposed to be spring?"

We were working on Hang 10 messages, and yes there was a lot of work here with practice for Tech Week.

This included a lot of disciple practices, just working on our conversations and reactions during the Last Supper, plus this funny dance we're all doing at the curtain call.  That alone makes Maddie not want to be a part of it this year!  That's a little joke for her, but the truth is that she's a bit busy with taekwondo practices and school studies.

Tonight we got home from practice and we had time to read the latest short story "From a Certain Point of View," revisiting an author I've read a lot of in the past, Meg Cabot.  She had a short story about Aunt Beru, and it was first-person, much like the writings of "The Princess Diaries."  Maddie might like hearing those stories in the future - she enjoyed this one for being so light-hearted, and possibly comically dark.  Anyway, it was fun.

We said our prayers after that, and yes, we fell asleep quickly.  It'll be easy to sleep all week, as these practices wear you out!
