Okay, today was day one of Tech Week.
No, not that Tech Week. It's the week where we spend a lot of time working extra time working on the Easter production, which is what we did for quite some time today.
We were here at noon, walking through the Last Supper scene, and then Gethsemane, and then afterwards at Golgotha. And then tonight we had a major practice, which involved Palm Sunday and all the other parts of the production as well. It was quite an endeavor, with a large cast, many moving parts, and lots of costuming and props. Lots going on... Maddie was at taekwondo where we dropped her off, but she got a ride to church afterwards to see everyone practice, although she spent a good bit of time studying as well. She's got a big pre-calculus test tomorrow, so she was busy studying in the church seats while all the events of Easter were unfolding around her onstage. And I do mean unfold... those giant parachute costumes are ridiculous!
We had a late night, but we made sure we read when we got home, another story "From a Certain Point of View," this one involving Qui-Gon Jinn. We said our prayers after that, and fell asleep quickly. It's cold outside, and we're really tired!
