Swirling Martians

Just a stray post about Sea Monkeys.  Out of all the times I've had these little guys in our house, this is the most successful.  This Martian tank is pretty cool, but I credit the success of their survival to a few things, one of them being location and temperature.  The other thing is restraint on feeding time - you'd think a week is a long time to wait for food, and it is.  But I generally wait 6-7 days between feeding and it's been good.  Finally, and perhaps most importantly, aerating the tank is a must-do each morning.  You do at least - at least - ten good squeezes to make all kinds of bubbles in the tank each day.  They're getting so big you can see them from a distance away from the tank, just swirling around and exploring the Martian surface.  It's difficult to take pictures of them, at least for me right now.  But I've got a few here, because why not!

It was a good day today, although a little quiet.  We're moving forward on Weird Science, Time Travelers, Summer Xtreme and all the things in between.   School is almost completely done for Maddie, although she has some tests to take next week.  But she's ending things well, and we're super proud of her.  It's been a challenging year for certain, but she's gotten a lot of tough classes out of the way.  Hopefully her junior year will be a little easier on her and she can enjoy it more.

We read tonight, and we said our prayers.  It was a quiet day, and a restful day for Maddie too.  That is, until taekwondo.  I'll let her share about that here:

Maddie’s pov:

I had taekwondo today. It was the first day of our new weapons, kamas, in leadership class. Chloe and I swapped kamas for the whole class cause we wanted to try each other’s different ones. Mr.Cornett was so confused once Lennox and a few others started to trade their kamas. It’s just a normal demo team thing except it wasn’t demo team practice lol. We also worked on 540s which is tornado kicks but land on kicking leg.

We had black belt class afterwards which went as usual. We did sparring and forms.
