SX18 - OUTSIDE

Today's service was unique - and a bit historic.  We took the service for Summer Xtreme outside, completely!  There was a whole lot of risk, including the weather, but in the end the whole thing worked out wonderfully.  The praise and worship part of our service was spectacular, and the games were a whole lot of fun too.

Above, you can see we even had a great skit using our characters again - it's been an ongoing game show, where characters were competing for HERO POINTS to see who would become the next INCREDIBLE HERO.  The end of the contest had our characters up on a wall by the chapel, squirting their squirt guns downward on the unsuspecting audience.  It was a big hit.

We went inside after that, in order to get some lunch, but after that, we were back outside again for our annual water day!

Here's Daddy outside, just before getting SOAKING WET.  AGAIN.  But that's the fun of the day, buckets of water and super soakers and water slides and lots of fun.  There were snow cones and even the traditional visit from the fire truck, with a great big hose to squirt all the jumping kids!  The sun was shining bright all day, and after three days of scattered showers, it was great to feel completely relaxed about the forecast:  it was a sunny day.  And it was a fun, unforgettable water day that lived up to the hype!

Madison spent the day attacking people with the squirt gun, doing a few slides, but mainly squirting as many people as she could.  And that's what she wanted to do, and that's how much fun she was having!

Going into the "splash zone" here is a guarantee that you'll get soaked, and you never know where it's coming from.  Every adult is a target, and everyone there has a great time.  It's just a wonderful day in the sun, with splashes of water flying everywhere, and everyone having a great time!

But soon enough, it all came to an end, and the cars were lining up to pick up the kids.  We stayed late again to set things up for tomorrow, but not too late for Daddy, Madison and Mommy.  No, we got home at a reasonable hour:  we did our prayers, our devotional... and were fast asleep rather quickly.  It's been an exciting week, and we've got one more day to go - a big one for Madison.
