Back to the Keys

Back to piano classes with a post-graduate year for Madison!  Here she is at the front entrance of Mrs. Pam's Funderful World of Music.  The kids were back in town, all together from a summer off with all kinds of adventure stories.  And here they are again, ready to hit the keyboards, and ready to become more accomplished at playing piano.

Here's Madison at her keyboard, which was customized in height for her.  Parents were in the initial class for a short while, listening to an overview, along with the contract information.  That's Madison's commitment to practicing throughout the week.  She's going to fill that out and bring it back, just as she did last year.

This is a new frontier, this class.  Mrs. Pam doesn't usually do this, but perhaps there was something about this class that pushed her in the direction of trying an extra year.  This made the kids very happy, of course, because she's a great teacher, and the class is pretty fun.  Sure, it's work.  But it's enjoyable work, and that's the best kind.  Piano practice at home has already started, with Madison playing one of Daddy's favorite things she is going to play, a selection from "Scheherazade."  It's such a beautiful melody.

Madison had school today, and meanwhile Daddy and Mommy were getting ready for a new series launch this weekend with "Master Builders," which is looking to be, well, awesome.  Because everything is awesome, right?

We're still reading "Nancy Drew" at night, and still suspicious of Nathan Gomber.  We'll have a new LEGO-themed devotional soon, as Daddy got the final touches on that one written.  Lots left to do towards our new series, of course.  Until then, Madison has the LEGO bricks out, and we've been playing a few LEGO games as well.  Everything is awesome indeed.
