Madison is getting the hang of this rhythm thing. Today in piano class, she was reading music sheets and playing only with percussion instruments - using both hands. And there's be different notes to play with each hand, so it was certainly not all in unison. Daddy struggles with this: it's like rubbing your head and patting your belly. Or is that the other way around?
Class was good today. She was able to play the three or four songs we've been learning this year, and doing so with some new maneuvers. In one case, she moves her hands up one octave, and plays there for a while.
Afterwards, it was time for homework - and this time, it appears she's got a lot. Madison did that for a bit while Daddy cooked up some chicken outside on the grill. The weather outside has been warmer, which has been pleasant especially at dusk. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, and we had ourselves a delicious dinner, the three of us.
It was a little late to watch anything, so of course we were at it again with Middle Earth. Madison is somewhat addicted to this game (remember that it's like a fever that you just have to ride out!). It's keeping us busy on that front, hopefully until November or so.
We're inching in that direction, aren't we? Day by day is going by, each one filled with activity for Madison. It's somewhat of a regular routine, from piano to tennis to ballet - including lots of school leading up to that. Not much time for afterwards, but we do share stories and play games. We do spend time together, and that's what's important during these busy seasons.
