Today we met China Girl for the first time - she's an amazing new character from the movie, "Oz: The Great and Powerful." We went to see the 3D version of the movie with literally about twenty-something friends. Daddy coordinated a little get-together so we could all see the movie together, and everyone had a great time. The plus was this: it was a great movie. Everyone that went enjoyed the movie immensely.
Madison wasn't quite old enough for it yet: we were worried about any possibilities, especially with two witches lurking in the picture. It turns out there is probably a scene at the end that would be a little much for her. That's why we brought her over to Nana and Ye-Ye's house for a fun visit. That visit was made even more fun, when Madison discovered her cousin Hannah was already there. It was a great time for all of us, even though we were in different places.
The rest of the day, Daddy worked on various things for the KidPak services in the morning, from videos to skit-related things. It'll be a fantastic day tomorrow, but honestly: we're all a little tired right now. We should all be sure to get a good night's rest tonight - especially in light of the fact that tomorrow it is time to spring forward.
Which makes me wonder, does Flava Flav have to set his clock tonight?
This guy is our generation's version of Father Time. Forget the imagery of some old guy with a long beard and a sickle in his hand. No, from now on, New Year's Day should be celebrated with pictures of Flava Flav, the real keeper of time. The guy's always got a huge clock around his neck!
We saw the movie Friday night as well. I loved it! I actually took Leah not realizing it was a bit much. She wasn't afraid of the witches, it was the flying monkeys she didn't like and told me, "This movie is for big people". She was right!
