Klingons!

Ta' ghobe' pum Daq puq!
(Klingon translation: "Do not fall on child!")

Mommy has Klingons in the kitchen: Madison and the cat cling on to her wherever she steps!

Madison has a tendency to be at your feet quite a bit. Of course, we appreciate that she wants to be near us and loves us - but sometimes it gets kind of tricky doing a two-step in the kitchen. Mommy knows this more than anyone else. Think of all the great dance moves that probably came from mothers trying not to step on toddlers and cats! And Mommy just inserted this: "and don't forget you don't want to step on small toys." She's right! It's like a minefield sometimes!

Today was very cold. Snow still covers the ground in certain shady spots, which according to an old wives' tale means that it will snow again soon (because snow is still on the ground two days later). Although it is already March 3rd, I wouldn't rule out another snow this year. It's been that sort of season. One moment we're complaining that it hasn't snowed, and the next we're wondering when it will stop!

I think what everyone wants is 1993. I think that was the year (in late March, by the way) that the snow forced everyone on a weeklong vacation. The roads were legitimately dangerous, and the temperatures kept things frozen for quite a while. Daddy remembers being trapped, and so does everyone else who lived through that mega storm. It was fun! Lots of snow that told us all to basically not worry about anything and take a week off. Which we gladly did.

We don't get this week off though. A new series is starting this Sunday for the children's church, and Mommy and Daddy will be busy tomorrow getting costumes and such. It won't have the extravagance of Wonderland, but it should still be a fun series. The big question remains: what do we dress up Madison as this time?

Maybe we can dress her up as a Klingon!
