Here We Snow Again!

Tomorrow we have news of yet another Winter Storm Warning. I've seriously lost count of how many of these we've had this winter. I do know that we've had snow twice, and we've also had several missed forecasts where everyone was positive there would be snow, only to be wondering what happened. Last year, it snowed once. As far as memory serves, there was only one warning that year. The day was March 1st, 2009, which was exactly one year ago today. I know this so well because it was Madison's first experience with snow. It wasn't much, but she did get out in it and experience it falling down from above. She had this gleeful little run around the front yard, and learned from Daddy very quickly how to make - and throw - a snowball!

Here's a photo of Madison enjoying her first snowfall. It was a wonderful experience for her, just standing out there and watching the fluffy flakes of snow drift down around her. It hadn't snowed all winter, and suddenly in March it decided to bless us with a bit of the white stuff. She really enjoyed that snow last year. And I think she'll enjoy the real snow tomorrow too. Here's a direct quote from the weather forecasters on the internet, just so you don't think I'm crazy:

A blast of winter weather is expected to hit parts of northeast Georgia after Tuesday morning's rush hour.

Most of the heavy accumulations will be in the mountains of northeast Georgia, although some wintry precipitation may fall in the lower elevations. The Gainesville area could see 1 to 3 inches of snowfall.

By this time tomorrow, we'll all know what happened. Will it be snow again? Or another missed forecast?

Whatever goes on outdoors, Mommy has something very cool planned for indoors. It's a special occasion: you'll have to wait until tomorrow evening to find out what it is. Mommy has a craft for Madison, and a special dinner planned for all of us. More details will come tomorrow, so be sure to tune in.

It looks like it'll be a very interesting day!
