Cinco de Taco Tuesday

It is Cinco de Mayo, and it is on a Taco Tuesday.  Such remarkable timing demands a grand fiesta, although one where everyone stays home.  That's the nature of this year, but the great thing about about this year is that we showed Madison "Nacho Libre" for the first time, and she enjoyed it.  I really love this movie, and am surprised we haven't watched it together sooner!  I remember seeing this with Mommy down in Alpharetta, I think after a dentist appointment.  It was a few years before we met Madison.  Anyway, it's always been a favorite of mine, and I know some people don't get it.  But I think it's hilarious.

Of course we had tacos today as well, a nice feast prepared by Mommy with all the right ingredients at the table to dress our own tacos.  And our own little taco trucks as well!

We did a lot of filming today for KidPak, much of it from the kitchen.  We're filmed a cooking contest, one that pitted the girls team versus the boys team.  They had a half hour and a bunch of ingredients, and they had to prepare the best presentation for Mom.  Two moms showed up later as judges, but we'll save those results for later on.  Sunday, everyone will find out.  Not even the teams know who won yet!  We filmed them both celebrating, but they actually don't know which team won yet.

Madison continued her school work in the meantime.  She finished reading "The Outsiders," and after school she and Daddy went over to the martial arts studio for taekwondo!  Week two is here, and there were a few more students here.  We're still pushing along - in fact, Madison has two stripes, and should be with her brown belt decided in about three weeks.  This will certainly be a memorable one!

Daddy had a lot of calls to make tonight.  There were so many people that called our church after Sunday's service that our altar team was overwhelmed.  Daddy was making calls, and touching base with people who called in for prayer.  One of those persons was a man in this area, although most were outside the area.  The one from Gainesville had a father who has just come out of a coma he's been in the past month, this all due to the virus that's out there.  We prayed together for his dad, for his quick recovery, for peace and for healing.

It was a good day today.  When I got home, we were watched our movie and continued our reading, and our prayers.  Things are going to get better.
