I love it when Mommy makes breakfast in a skillet like this! We've been eating so well lately too, with creative dinners and breakfasts every day. We had shrimp scampi last night, and it was amazing. Daddy picked up some gluten-free fettuccini, and Mommy took that and ran with it. She's making meatloaf next, a gluten-free recipe that she picked up online. We may be stuck at home more often, but we're certainly doing well at mealtime!
A little later on today we had a meeting at the church. It was for Summer Xtreme, and the idea was to get a few of our actors together from last year, and see about brainstorming some ideas for this year's online skits for SX20.
Madison came along, and to begin with, there was a lot of catching up with the five of us sitting around, talking about the state of the world and all the things going on in everyone's lives. We did get to talking about the skits, and came up with some ideas, but I have to get permission to use a particular room first and we'll go from there. I think we have some solid ideas though!
Afterwards, Madison used her phone to take a few selfies in the car. As things go with these meetings, we didn't leave right away. In fact, I believe we were talking for about three hours today, and even had a visit to Atlanta Bread Company afterwards, because it's tradition to eat there when planning KidPak things. Also... we were hungry again.
Anyway, it was a good day today, and a productive one. Daddy was pressure washing again, and also watering the plants a good deal. We've had a small dry spell, but rain its supposedly on the way next week. Regardless, it's good to keep the herbs and potted plants hydrated during this season.
Tonight, we started a "Malefithon." Which is basically saying, we watched "Maleficent," with the idea that tomorrow we'll watch the sequel. The second movie just was released on Disney Plus, and we've been holding out until it is released there to see it. But we own the first Maleficent movie, and we did all like it well enough. Part of that is the appeal of the title character herself, one of Daddy's favorite Disney characters ever. In fact, Daddy and his friends drove out to Colorado to get a birthday present that was left for him there, following a treasure map that led us to that location to find a small statue of Maleficent. I have it to this day. Maleficent and I go way back.
Anyway, the Malefithon started tonight, and should wrap up tomorrow night with the second one that we haven't seen yet. They did a great job recreating the one scene where the gifts are bestowed on baby Aurora, with all the same dialogue there said, and yet a different feeling behind them all.
We read and prayed tonight, and all was fairly routine. One thing that was not routine was this:
It's a girl! Mommy finally passed her kidney stone, and we snapped a picture of it, along with a dime there for scale. It's amazing that something like this so small can cause so much trouble. Mommy has been "in labor" for ten days now, and it's finally over, at least this part. There's still some soreness, and the after-effects of medication to deal with. But at least we know this is coming to an end now. Upon "giving birth," we all had our ideas for names for the "baby." Mommy and Daddy liked the name "Roxanne." But leave it to Madison to come up with our favorite: "Patricia." Yes, the stone's name is officially "Patricia."
