Aloha Falls

We had a busy day today, one of the activities being a trip to Aloha Falls Miniature Golf.  I'm not sure if that is technically Aloha Falls there behind Madison in the photo - there were plenty of water falls scattered throughout this mini-golf course, all of them dyed that insane blue color that seems to suggest:  STAY AWAY.  It could be worse - it could be blood red or something.  Which might be fun at Halloween or something.  But for now, it's science lab blue.

As for the course itself, it was decent.  It's not on the same level as the national chain golf courses that you see around these areas, ones with pirates and Congo water falls.  It was a lower budget sort of thing, but it was still pleasant enough and the people were very friendly there.  On top of that, Madison and Daddy got some flower leis - and Madison got not one, but two hole-in-one shots.

It was fun, but it was also getting warm out there.  Time to head back to the condo, and get in some water!  We hit the waves for a bit after this, which seemed cold at first.  But we got acclimated to it very quickly, and soon we were splashing each other, collecting shells, and looking out for rogue waves.  Incidentally, the definition of a rogue wave in this case is Daddy splashing Madison when she has her back turned.  And then visa versa.

Very sunny today, and hotter.  People were quite happy with the change of weather.  There were lots of spring breakers out there, people along the beach, and it was just a perfect sort of spring break day outside.

A little rain came later, but it never really poured down on us.  It was - as seems to be the thing lately - more north of us, and going out to sea.  This made for a nice view, and a pretty great rainbow over the ocean.

It was a remarkable view!  We could see that from the pool, which we were swimming in for a while this afternoon - and of course we were listening to the waves and watching the ocean horizon as we were playing dominoes together at the kitchen table.

We read books on the balcony, and we also worked on our electrical circuit project for Madison.  We ran some copper tape along the back of a piece of thicker paper, connecting a nine volt battery to about three LED lights.  Success!  But we're not done with the project yet, as these lights are going to be part of various pictures.  We'll work on that this weekend, and no doubt you'll see the results here.

Tonight we were done with "A Series of Unfortunate Events," which literally ends season two with a cliffhanger.  The three of us finished off the day with the three final episodes, a binge watch that had us finish season two less than a week after it was released.

Mommy was doing ancestry today, and Daddy finished this weekend's next skit for "Legends" as well, sending that off to the actors, who seemed to like it.  It was a pretty full day, a good balance of work and play.  Lots of fun today!
