Zorbing

Madison had her first zorbing experience today - and by the looks of it, she really enjoyed hopping in a zorb.  Of course, this zorb is not a full-sized one.

But it works for our purposes at KidPak, for outdoor activities.  We have about four of them, and they take a compressor to fill up with air.  We had used them yesterday in filming, but today we thought it would be fun to let Madison roll up and down the hall in a zorb, just to see what it's like.

She liked it.  She rolled around upside down and all over, with different volunteers pushing the big zorb around the hall.  It was a lot of fun for her.  As for the service today, it was fun too.  Madison and all the other kids learned about being totally righteous from our new sea turtle character, Mondo:

We've only got one more week of this story left.  It's been fun, and we'll be sad to see it go.  Really, this has been a favorite series of ours, up there with Wonderland and Kung Pow.  That reminds me... maybe we'll do "Kung Pow" again soon.

Anyway, the day was not over yet, as Aunt Shain and Hannah came over for a visit, and a play date.  Along with them, there were plenty of Shrinky Dinks!  Okay, so here is the part where Daddy becomes a big kid again, and all of us sit at the table coloring in our Shrinky Dinks.

Note the aquatic theme there.  More under-the-sea fun beyond the services we're having.  Speaking of more stuff beyond the service, it won't be long until we see Winter at the movie theater again.  But that's next week.  Today, we had fun coloring and making a few other crafts as well.  We put the Shrinky Dinks in the oven and made our crafts before leaving - of course, we spent time talking and doing a bit of catching up.  You could imagine as Aunt Shain has three kids, her life is pretty busy with band and all the other activities the cousins are up to.  In fact, one of Madison's cousins, David, was at church while we were doing our thing here - that was the reason for the visit.

Soon they were on their way though, and it was pretty close to bedtime for us.  School nights make bedtime come awfully early, don't they?  We read some more from our Never Book, "The Wedding Wings," and said our prayers.  And then it was off to sleep for the night - we had quite a busy day today, but now it was time to drift off to sleep and catch some zzzzzz's.  Which of course stands for ZORB!
