This was a rainbow we saw this morning, just after 7am. I don't remember seeing a rainbow this early before, but it was a pleasant surprise for everyone on the morning school commute. All the teachers outside were commenting on it, and all the cellphones were snapping photos of it. Daddy happened to have the iPad with him, so he and Madison snapped this photo above while the rainbow was still there. Earlier, it was a double rainbow (all the way), which made for a rather interesting morning. What sort of sign for the day is this? Normally, this sort of thing bodes well, correct?
Madison did have a good day, in fact. We got her classwork, and were rather excited to see that she's almost to fifty math problems in three minutes. She did 47 correctly, so she's so very close to the target for the end of the year. Additionally, she knows her spelling words and got all of them right. Her classwork was great to see, and quite encouraging!
Daddy worked a little late, mainly because we're not working late tomorrow. Well, it could technically be called work if you consider the upcoming series we're doing at KidPak: we're going to LEGO Discovery Center, partially as a reward for Madison's work on the computer - and also because of the 'research' involved for our new series, "Master Builders."
Madison was watching "Frozen" again when Daddy got home. We watched some of the extras, which believe it or not, we haven't watched before. There's a really good one on there about Marc Davis, one of the legendary 'Nine Old Men' that worked with Disney. They're all gone now, but there are some new animators out there that are quite talented. Marc Davis was the complete package though, just bursting with creativity. They all were, actually - not just with animation, but with the theme park ideas as well. Fantastic stuff.
We ate dinner and had a late night in bed for Madison, who was quite animated today. I think she's excited about tomorrow. Meanwhile, Mommy and Daddy continued our binge of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., with the latest episodes about Asgardians and the post-"Dark World" bits of the Marvel World. Those of you who aren't familiar with the show are scratching your collective heads, so I shall move on.
It was a busy day for work - Daddy finished the script for the big finish for our ongoing drama. That all ends on Sunday, although we'll have two more services left Under the Sea. I'll miss this series quite a bit - it was so much fun and creativity. But the LEGOs are next, and I know the kids will have a good time. Tomorrow, Daddy will have a good time with Madison and Mommy. Time to get a good night's sleep - tomorrow is a big day!
