I don't think that I can take it - it took so long to bake it, and I'll never have that recipe again. Oh no!
Okay, so obviously this was a rainy day. A long, rainy day. And it's part of a rainy week, which is pretty much part of the rainiest summer - and rainiest year that I can ever remember. Flash flood warnings are in effect.
Here's the radar - which is unusual this time around, as the storms are all heading in a northward direction. So, based on this radar, all this rain is still heading our way right now.
Today was a big work day for Daddy, and a stay-at-home day for Madison, Mommy, Nana and Ba-Ba. Although they did make a trip to Goodwill and a trip to the grocery store. But Daddy stayed at church for the most part, although there was a trip home for a bit. Reading books for a bit, we got further and further on our summer reading program - in fact, can you believe we only have seven books left? Daddy picked some patriotic books out, ones dedicated to the Liberty Bell and the Star Spangled Banner, which Madison was really into.
The rain was hard, and all day long. Pouring, pouring, pouring - and the forecast looks like this until actually next Tuesday. Lots of fireworks shows are being cancelled or postponed until a later time - like August. Although we have a few local guys shooting off fireworks into the night, nearby on the other side of the neighborhood.
It'll rain a lot tomorrow, but you know something? It'll still be a great day together with family, and that's just one of those great things about America!
