The Mauls

So tonight we went to see "The Phantom Menace" in 3D. This is Episode I of the Star Wars series, and the first to be released of the six, which will come out one per year the next five years. Based on these calculations, Madison will be eight years old when Episode IV comes out - that's the original "Star Wars" for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about. She just might be old enough to watch it, actually! That's about the age Daddy was when he first saw "Star Wars," so that's kind of an interesting moment coming up. IN THREE YEARS. Believe me, I can wait: time has been flying by fast enough as it is!

In the meantime, here are some Darth Maul wannabes. There's a program on the Star Wars website that transforms you into Darth Maul, from Episode I. He's a rather evil looking critter, so I didn't transform Madison. But that didn't stop me from getting a bunch of people around the office to try it out!

It works best when you aren't trying to look evil. I mean, if you sit there and sneer, then so what? Daddy did it three different times, as seen with the middle left images. The girl who played Alice in Wonderland for us has quite a temper - she's right in the middle too. Okay, she doesn't have any temper at all. That's what sort of makes these funny.

Today was a GREAT day for Madison at speech therapy. Mommy said it was as if something just clicked. This is such wonderful news! Also, there was a return to the chiropractor - Madison is healthy as a horse again. Ever since her "straightening out" on Monday, she's been noticeably better. This could also be the timing of the medication finally kicking in after a week and a half, but you never know. I'm just glad she's back to normal, more or less.

Also today: the Wisdom Club luncheon. It was great to have Madison with us for a short time. Madison, Mommy and Daddy had lunch together (after Daddy was through volunteering). It was a nice time to be together, although much too brief.

Madison spent some time with Nana and Ye-Ye tonight, who were happy to watch her as we went off to the movies. It was a fun night for Mommy and Daddy - and a fun night for Madison, who was looking forward to seeing them tonight.
