Everyone slept late this morning. For Daddy, it was a significant amount of catching up - we all slept until about ten in the morning!
We did some more work with Valentine's Day cards, and Madison did some more practice with her keyboard. Today was one of those days where she just seemed to have it all together: she hit the keys exactly when she was supposed to, reading the music sheet as she went. Mommy and Daddy were quite impressed!
Mommy made a huge meal for us at lunchtime. It was actually so big that we didn't need to eat for the rest of the day. It was this massive French dip meal, which was delicious. Mommy serves up some creative and tasty meals, and this was no exception.
The weather is supposed to turn cold again, but it may be too late for the snow. In fact, there's no mention of snow at all in the forecast this year. This is a bummer. We didn't get any accumulations whatsoever this year at our house. One day there were flurries, but that's about it. This is depressing - certainly when you consider that we still had to endure some pretty cold days. We may be surprised, but it currently seems unlikely. Maybe next year...
Madison has really been into puzzles this week. She has four currently on the kitchen table. Upside down. I'm serious: she doesn't think they are challenging enough when they are face-up, so she turns them upside down and tries to do them as fast as possible. We'll obviously be getting her some new puzzles soon. Her midi-chlorian count must be very high!
