Three Little Pigs

This week, here's is a story that Madison likes to reenact over and over again. Sometimes she's the wolf, and sometimes she's the piggies. She huffs and puffs, or she runs once her house gets blown down. Either way, she has a great time. When she starts asking you if she can come in, you'd better give her the right answer!* This story-telling has come from school, and we've been quick to help her do the story each time she wants. This morning, Daddy popped in a DVD of the Disney cartoon from 1933 - which made for a perfect occasion: Madison loved it. I love this image attached: first of all, the piano and piano stool are made of bricks. Next, notice the portrait of "FATHER" hanging on the wall. Fortunately, Mother's portrait is a bit kinder!

Today was the day of the Dragon Boat Festival. Unfortunately, Daddy had a lot to do at work - and has been injured of late. Fortunately, we could watch a bit on this computer, as they were livestreaming the event. We were able to watch several dragon boat races in the kitchen, so we were able to at least get a bit of exposure to the event.

We plan to make up for this lapse soon by attending the Autumn Moon Event, which is also upcoming. We haven't been to that one yet, so it should make for a fun occasion. And, of course, fall is approaching: festivals, apples, pumpkins, and all the things to do this time of year. Take a look from last year and see for yourself: there's lots to do this season.

As soon as homework is done!
