We All Scream

Mommy, Madison and Daddy were at the office pretty much all day - and into the night for Daddy. But we still had some time for ice cream. Madison always has time for ice cream!

She always has this big smile on her face just before she tears into the ice cream. There's this look of raw joy that explodes outward, and such glee! She looks at us reverently and at a near whisper in hushed awe, she says, "Mommy. Daddy. Thank you!"

You're welcome, sweetie. It's nothing.

We don't give her ice cream all the time, by the way. It's usually as a reward, actually. Ice cream is the ultimate motivator to get anyone to do anything. For example:

"If you eat all the food on your plate, you get ice cream, okay?"

"If you clean up all of your room, you can have some ice cream, okay?"

"If you type up this large document for us and mow the grass, you can have some ice cream okay?"

Just kidding on that last one. I was just making sure you were paying attention.
