Playing with Plasma

Daddy brought home a little plasma ball from our Spy Games set - don't worry, it'll go back in time for tomorrow evening's service. But before bringing it back, we thought we'd let Madison check it out.

Here she is, experimenting a bit with some more weird science. She was definitely fascinated by this little gadget, but who wouldn't be? We love exposing her to new stuff as frequently as we can, so this opportunity was a little blessing.

Today, she and Mommy spent the day together at home while Daddy went off to work. It was a time to do some more untrimming, taking down decorations and whatnot. Mommy has it all organized as usual, and by the weekend all evidence that we ever had Christmas here will be completely erased! Mommy is like "the cleaner," removing incriminating evidence at the scene. Just like the penguins from Madagascar would say, "You didn't see anything!"

Yesterday at Wal-Mart we found a great deal on three early Veggie Tales movies. Daddy is dating himself a bit, but I remember when these first came out. Madison watched all three movies about Joshua, about the Good Samaritan, and about the three Hebrew boys. She loved them, which pleased us greatly. We got a big kick out of Veggie Tales for a while - we've got a few of their DVD's, so we'll be popping them in this month regularly to watch together. It's great family entertainment, and of course there's a Biblical moral or story to each which scores us some extra points.

It's nothing too difficult for us though: we happen to like Veggie Tales and we're grown-ups. Especially Mr. Lunt. That's Daddy's favorite. Here he is to the left in his most classic moment of all, singing about his cheeseburger. If you haven't heard that song yet, you should. We've got a video of it on Veggie Tales Ultimate Silly Songs DVD, which Madison has recently enjoyed watching. She's pretty particular about what she'll stay watching, and right now the Veggie Tales are holding her attention. There's just something about Larry the Cucumber, I suppose.

Well, that just about wraps up this post. I think I'm going to go get a cheeseburger now...
