Frozen Empire

Tonight we went back to the movies, this time to see the next Ghostbusters movie.  It was pretty decent, although not our favorite of the series.  One interesting thing was the amount of stuff in the trailer that was not in the movie, perhaps indicating a lot of scenes cut from the movie, although I'm not sure.  One thing we all agree upon is that it was an okay movie, but not as good as the previous one.  It was fantastic to have the original cast playing a bigger role again, although it's understandable they can't be central to the story.  Like the last Jurassic World movie, the cast from so long ago is given honor, and they had something to do.  As for the "Frozen Empire," that part doesn't last that long.  It's sort of like the Age of Ultron only lasting only a little over an hour.  But we were okay with the movie overall - it wasn't that bad.

This afternoon, the three of us went back to visit the chiropractor, which was good especially after such a long and grueling week leading up to Easter.  It was a fun visit as always, and we went straight in there without waiting for too long.  It's busy there, because the school systems are off this week with Spring Break.  We went in and got some adjustments, and of course Maddie was laughing the entire process.

We got home, and I was on the front porch proofing a booklet for our next series, "Hang 10," which starts soon at KidPak.  The last time we did this series was in 2010, so it's been a while.  But it'll be fun to do this surfing series dedicated to the Ten Commandments.  We will have just left "Exodus," so this series makes sense.  I'm excited about watching some of those old-school beach movies again!

Once we got home from the movies, Maddie and I were back in Middle Earth, playing around there for a while, working our way back towards 100%.  This involves frequent visits to the blacksmith character, who is awesome.  I love how stoic he is as he works and presents with great solemnity his latest creation, metal musical shoes.  Or whatever.  Anyway, we were playing this game for a good bit, exploring and just having some quiet fun.

Tonight we read "From a Certain Point of View," and completed the short story, "The Kloo Horn Cantina Caper," which has been one of our favorite short stories in the book so far.  It's longer than the others, but it was a lot of fun without any connections to Jedis or rebels or Imperial spies or anything like that.  It was just a fun story with some super obscure characters I grew up with.

Anyway, we closed out the day with that reading, and then prayers of course.  And bed!  Sleep is easy tonight, although there are some storms rolling through that look big, followed by cooler weather.  Maybe it's a Frozen Empire on the way!  Oooh!  We'll have to keep an eye on that...
