SX23 Day 2

Here's Maddie for Day Two of Summer Xtreme, ready to use the time machine, this morning going to the present... or is it?  Yes, it is the present, but things are different.  Manhead created an alternate time line when he messed things up, and our cast of characters were busy trying to find the three time cores to restore the time line.

The games have been messy fun, and the tribe wars have continued with so much enthusiasm from the audience.  Grades are competing against each other, and there is a lot of spirit out there!

Today's volunteers got slimed, and yeah, that was super messy but fun.  We had about four people get covered with slime - but soon everyone would be outside having fun with a water day.

Meanwhile, the cast were rehearsing in my office, getting ready to tackle the present.  But guess who showed up to visit?

Megan and Tommy and their new daughter Eleanor.  Of course the cast was delighted to say hi and spend some time catching up with them.  But soon enough, it was time to get out there and find that second time core.  Mom did a really great job with the costumes for this one, and once again, the cast nailed their parts.  A lot of running jokes, including taquitos and of course what Summer Xtreme would be complete without the recurring character:  Lucille the wrench!

Here below are a few pictures Mom took of the actors on stage visiting a dystopian present!

Maddie found the time core today, and that means there's just one left to save the day and restore the timeline.  We'll see what happens tomorrow!

The rest of the service was perfect too - Summer Xtreme is really back.  The numbers of kids here are high - not quite 2019 levels yet, but we're getting back there, and it will really increase next year of course.

Today was our famous "Water Day," where we had water slides, squirt guns, rides, and even a visit from the fire truck too.  Four visits from the fire truck, which kept driving over to the fire hydrant to get a refill, and then come back and spray everyone down.  While out there, Maddie found a big fan, a kid who just wanted to aim his squirt gun at her over and over again...

It was a really fun day!  Our dismissal process was a lot cleaner today - the part where the cars come to pick up kids.  It was pretty hot out there, but the weather was clear, and that's such a bit thing - a storm came yesterday afternoon and we would have had to cancel our "water day" if we were doing this yesterday.

We got home tonight, and we watched the latest episode of "Secret Invasion," but after that, it was time for sleep (after reading and prayers). We're pretty worn out, and ready to finish Summer Xtreme strong!
