Can you believe we're on squirrel 58 now? Yeah, we have 58 little squirrel stickers on our trap now. It's been wild! We still have a few to go out there - we'll see how it goes the next few days.
We dropped Maddie off at day three of Rank Camp, and she had a good day there with the typical routine: fitness tests, self-defense training, and time for fun too. Nerf gun battles and dodgeball, amongst other things. Maddie said she's learning a good bit with self-defense, and that was the goal of this week, really. But simultaneously, she is advancing in regards to her walk towards the third degree black belt. This is basically three months wrapped up into one solid week, so she'll advance about three months earlier now. Not that any of that is the goal - again, this was more about learning self-defense and having fun with friends.
Speaking of having fun with friends, tonight was FCY, and I got Maddie over there to the church for a night with a 90's theme to it. There were some fun props there for different eras, and Maddie got some new round sunglasses that look kind of cool. They had tacos tonight for a meal and that was hard to pass up for me too!
It's hot out there again. No rain today, but there'll be pop-up showers over the next few days with such humidity out there. We watched the latest episode of "Secret Invasion" tonight, and then the ScreenCrush that follows, looking for Easter eggs and tips as to what is going on. It's a decent show, although not my favorite. I love Nick Fury though. Hopefully we'll see him take down more bad guys by using a rocket launcher. That's always fun.
Anyway, we read more tonight from "Leia" and we were off to bed early. Tomorrow is an earlier day than usual, so we said our prayers and got so sleep as soon as we could. Maddie isn't having too much of a hard time sleeping, as she's a bit worn out. She's pretty sore though!
