Even More Rank Camp

Maddie had her Small Group online meeting again, and credit to Camille for hosting this still.  She's been doing this since 2020, and it's been a great hangout for the same group of girls each week.  You can hear Maddie laughing upstairs in her room - she shuts the door and does her group, listening in and contributing as the small group gets together online.  Still going all this time!

 

There was Rank Camp again today, the fourth day of the camp.  You can see the Nerf guns in their hands there, the girls ready to attack the shooting gallery that gets set up in the studio.  Once the exercises and training conclude, there's a bit of time the students get to spend unwinding... shooting things.

It's been a fun camp though.  We'll have some training pics and so forth tomorrow, but all week she's been doing fitness tests, working on self-defense and "rolling" with opponents, which is another way to say sparring.  She's learning ways to grapple and pin down her opponent, and she's enjoying it.

Today was a busy day on my end - I started out getting the crown on my tooth #15.  Then the rear brakes of the car... this took some time, but it was super necessary, especially if we're going over some mountains.  We got some rain today, a welcome visit after so much extreme heat.  The temperature may not say it's one hundred degrees, but with the heat index, it seems close to that.  The sun just chases you inside whenever you're out there.  

While Maddie was in small group tonight, I was just really wanting to watch "Atlantis" again, and Mom did too.  I think this was because Josh's videos for Summer Xtreme featured a villain named "Manhead," who looked exactly like Kida's father, Keshekim Nedakh.  It's easier just to say "Kida's Father."  Anyway, it's such a super fun movie - Maddie joined us mid-movie, and after that it was time for some reading after that.  Still one more day of Rank Camp tomorrow, and we're getting up earlier for that - so yeah, it's time for prayers, and time for bed!
