Shave a Reindeer!

Shave a reindeer!  If you've ever seen "The Santa Clause 3," you might have heard that advertisement from Jack Frost, obviously a bad thing.  Poor Snowflake relived that a tiny bit this morning with Jingle Bell, which you can see below.

Notice Snowflake's bugged out eyes there.  Jingle Bell seems to be laughing at the whole thing - but don't worry.  No one's going to be shaving a reindeer this morning.  In fact, the most important thing is getting off to church!  Here's some pictures Maddie took of our service at KidPak:

This morning's service was all about getting that memory verse actually memorized.  And in fact, it's three verses.  But believe it or not, after quite a bit of craziness with the skit, we actually had kids remembering the whole thing.

Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people.  For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.  And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:10-12 NKJV

We got some rotisserie chicken after church, getting a bit of shopping done at the grocery store.  And after that, it was time to head home.  We had a nice filling meal, and the weather was cool outside and those blankets so warm... we were seated on the couch, and then sleeping before you knew it.

Maddie's been working on a negative space project for school, watching videos on social media, and of course visiting Stardew Valley quite a bit.  But when we were all ready, we sat down to watch "Elf" tonight, and then another movie even after that, "The Preacher's Wife."  Mom really likes that one!

We read tonight, and we're ready for bed after prayers.  The rain is coming down and the temperatures are rising.  Always the pattern here - precipitation with a temperature rise.  Would have been nice to get some snow, but that's okay for now.  Still, I'm putting out a request for snow please!

Goodnight!
