Edgestravaganza was a great night for Maddie! Unbeknownst to any of us, she got the "Drive" award, basically an award for the student with great character, almost a student of the year sort of thing. There's a good number of students to pick from here, so it's a big deal!
It was a great event, and we have pictures from cell phones with videos thrown in too, but there was a lot of fun there tonight. Of course Team Edge did their routine at the start of things, and that went off splendidly. There was the ceremony with candles, the one acknowledging all the advancing degree and black belt students. And there was the party with food too! Somewhere in the party there was a mad-lib that had everyone cracking up, especially all of Team Edge, who were involved in it. Here are a lot of pictures below of the event, many of them of Maddie receiving two different awards - one mentioned above, and another for her time spent at Edge. Six years now!
By comparison, the rest of the day was quiet. I was helping out at a church event today, and earlier we were doing a dress rehearsal for the pre-school's Christmas pageant. It's going to be fun!
Ah, here's Jingle Bell and Snowflake with a unique gift this morning: A Funko Pop version of the Elf on the Shelf. That's fun!
We ended tonight with prayers and our usual reading. After that, it was time to get some sleep. Long days!
