Arr You Golfing?

That brownish color is not an illusion, but in fact a bit of sargassum, and it's actually good for the beach.  Would you want to walk along and get your toes wet?  That's up to you.  It was a pretty view again though.  All of us were up early to watch the sunrise, and basically just spend the day together.

We were enjoying breakfast together, and doing some more packing.  Nana was wrapping up some pictures to take along after the move, and I was doing the writing for Sunday's service at KidPak - the show must go on.  There are all the little details being taken care of, from changes of address to closing down accounts for cable and phones and so on.  We'll be getting a newspaper at our house for about a year, and there's the matter of a new phone for Mommy, one that Ba-Ba had that works nicely.  For the first time ever, the three of us will have a cell phone.  This is a common thing for most households, but we just haven't gotten to that point yet where cell phones are thing desperately depended upon.  Well, that is except Madison.  She has hers everywhere she goes.  And she took all the pictures you see on today's entry blog with it too.  It takes nice photographs.

Meet Henry.  That's what I've decided to call this guy.   He lives down the street, and when he saw us, he was so surprised his jaw dropped.  All of us got in the car and did a few chores, starting with more donations, and even a grocery store trip for further food and supplies at the house.  But we made time for a little fun together too.

Here's Madison in front of one of the tallest waterfalls on the coastal island.  We changed course and did our next mini-golf adventure at Pirate's Island Mini-Golf there, the one closer to Port Orange.

Here's the family posing with Jack Sparrow, who looks a bit more serious here.  Perhaps he was in a life-and-death golf duel with Davy Jones.  Or maybe he just didn't do so well in a one-on-one golfing adventure with Commodore Norrington.  Or perhaps he's just a painted statue and in fact not the real Captain Jack Sparrow.  Regardless, we had to do one picture in front of the filthy pirate, as we continued along the eighteen holes.  Mommy and Daddy got a few holes in one, and everyone did very well going up and down the terrain there, into caves, up the mountain, and beside the waterfalls.

Madison took this one from inside the cave.  There were signs at each hole telling the story of Blackbeard the pirate, and of course catchy pirate music playing here and there.  The Jolly Roger proudly flew in the breeze, and we passed by all sorts of pirate artifacts and memorabilia.

Madison took this photo of the trees above, and as you can see it was a perfect sort of day.  The skies were just cloudy enough to block out the intensity of the blazing sun, and the temperature cool and breezy, but not so much so that everyone was shivering their timbers.

It was a nice day.  We had a good meal today, gluten-free fried chicken that Mommy made.  Lunch consisted of us "scraping the bottom of the barrel," using an "everything-must-go" attitude with the refrigerator.  The end result was a mix of macaroni and cheese, hot dogs, salads, and White Castle hamburgers.  Yes, those were in there.  They weren't bad.

Madison still had her small group meeting tonight online.  She went into the bedroom where it was quieter, so she could be a lot louder!  But that's because it's a lot of fun. The game segment was super fun, and she had a great time reuniting online with her friends.

We're still packing.  Tonight, after Madison's bath, we all sat down in the living room to watch "Men in Black II," which I think I saw last in the theater.  Seriously, it's been a while.  I remember it was opening weekend for the movie, and it was the Fourth of July, and we saw fireworks at the Mall of Georgia immediately after the movie.  It seemed like fun at the time, although I do remember also the hour's wait of traffic just to get out of that place afterwards.

Anyway, the movie was good, and we were all off to bed pretty much after that.  Tomorrow is a huge day, and the goal was to get a decent night's rest.
