Madison's Coming!

Madison's Coming!

One of the fun things that kids do is the "Andy's Coming!" game.  Someone yells this out, and everyone drops down on the ground like a toy, sort of like you see above.  They do this at Disney, although that might have had to stop, given that every five seconds you'll have some smart aleck yelling it out to see if they keep going down.  At one point, you could imagine a kid yelling it for the umpteenth time, and then Woody slapping him upside the head.

But in the picture above, you can see Woody and the others happily playing along.  The elf is there, along with his reindeer Snowflake, and Jessie, Lost, Buzz, and Mr. Pricklepants.  They all seem to be having a great time, playing beneath the front room's tree.

We had rehearsal tonight, the last one for "Christmas in Color."  We've also got some expected snow tomorrow.  Speaking of which, here's the next series design:

This was a back-and-forth as to what series to do.  We've had one idea all along, and now we're changing it to give ourselves more time to work on that one idea.  Only... "Elevate" requires a whole lot of updating.  It'll almost be like a new series, with a new devotional, new scripts, new everything.  Still, it'll be a lot of snowy fun on stage.

As far as the snow goes outside here now, we're supposed to get one inch of snow tomorrow on the grassy areas, so that will look nice.  We're still all ahead full on our Christmas production, and a huge weekend at the church.  Things are coming along fine with that production, so much so that we didn't have an extremely late night putting things together.  We were able to go to bed at a reasonable time tonight.

Madison was at ballet tonight, while Mommy was at the production practice.  She's working on costumes and props, while Daddy is playing taxi driver.  Lots of driving back and forth, but that's this season for you.  The weather is definitely getting chilly out there.

We've been practicing our vocabulary words tonight.  These were a little more advanced:  words like circumscribe, circumstance, circumference, and circulatory.  The other words were easier:  words like regain, recede, and reimburse.  We were going over spelling tonight, and definitions.  Madison should do pretty good on that test tomorrow.

She's been working on her project at school:  it has to do with the slave population in America after slavery was outlawed.  What happened next?  She's been working on a big poster board with all sorts of 3D elements.

Tomorrow we start our big production, and the plan is to take Madison to see it.  Maybe we can all see it together.  Mommy's work with the costuming is largely done, so hopefully we can just sit back and enjoy it.  Regardless, w'ere going to sit back tonight, and get some sleep.  We've got a long weekend ahead of us!
