Jingle Bell is Back

Well, it's the first of December, and Madison made note of that last night.  She wondered if Jingle was coming back tomorrow.  And as if to answer, here he was, luggage and all!  This was quite a nice surprise, along with the advent calendar you see on the back wall there - this is another December tradition, with each door in that calendar opening up to reveal a piece of chocolate in the shape of a star, or a flower, or something like that.  One more thing:  there was a gift under the tree - a Tsum-Tsum.  It was one from "The Aristocats," with a deerstalker cap on.  I guess with the whole "Get a Clue" thing going on, Jingle must have thought this would be nice.  And of course it was!

Today was a work day for Mommy and Daddy, who have just two more days to go until the next big series launch.  "Humbug!"  It's coming soon.

Madison did really well on her tests.  She knows all the answers without even thinking too hard - it's just that sometimes she goes through the test so fast that she makes small errors along the way.  She only missed one on her recent science test.  She just missed it because she overlooked it.  So we're not concerned with her "getting it."  I think the next step is being careful to double check your answers, and make sure everything is filled out - that sort of thing.

Madison is doing better physically.  She's almost back to 100% with her health, although still a bit sniffly.  We keep the vapor rub up there, along with the vaporizer.  Speaking of getting "vaporized," Madison watched her first episode of this tonight:

It's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," and it's in space, and it's in the near future.  Earth isn't doing so well at this point, and the team has quite a bit to figure out.  Madison, Mommy and Daddy sat in the guest bedroom, watching the television there on the bed.  She liked it, especially after years of not getting to see it.  For one, it's been probably too scary for her.  In fact, one could argue that it's nearly too scary for her now - although she seemed to be unfazed by the giant crawling bugs and violent Kree aliens.  So far, I think her favorite character is Daisy.  Daddy's favorite character has always been Agent Coulson.  He's the man.

Afterwards, we read what is nearly the end of the latest Nancy Drew book, along with the new "Humbug!" Devotional Daddy had written.  It all came out well, and as for Nancy Drew, we'll have to find out tomorrow if things turn out well, as we're left with a cliffhanger.

Tomorrow will be a good day, although we'll probably be working most of it towards the new series.  But it's what we do, and the end result will hopefully be something wonderful.
