Christmas Blizzards

This morning, our elf was apparently inspired a bit by the artwork of Bob Ross, making himself on canvas a few little "happy trees."

It was a really full day, starting with a rough stop at the doctor's for Madison.  Daddy was at work, but Madison had a regular scheduled stop at the doctor's office.  It was just a check-up, but it involved vaccine shots and some blood drawn, so it wasn't exactly super fun.  That being said, Mommy and Madison dropped by the office on the way home, and the three of us went to Chick-Fil-A first, and then to Dairy Queen for some Candy Cane Blizzards.

Always a good stop when it's for a Blizzard.  Daddy went back to work, fixing up things for part three of our upcoming production of "A Christmas Carol."  It'll wrap up the story, and yes, Madison will be back on stage for that one as well.  It's been taking a while to write up lighting cues and find appropriate music, always a challenge.  But it's shaping up to be a wonderful conclusion.

Meanwhile, Mommy and Madison were working on some cooking and crafts together.  First of all, they were making "Christmas Crack," that addictive white chocolate snack that everyone seems to love so much.  It's just a reindeer mix, but Mommy makes it in such a way that everyone goes crazy for it each year.  They say it is so addictive, they call it "Christmas Crack."  Mommy brought that tonight to a party, but we'll talk about that in a moment.

First, the last day of piano class this year.  Madison went tonight, and brought along some candy canes that she converted into musical notes, by way of adding a pipe cleaner down the middle.  By bending it a few times, it made a treble clef, and a tasty one at that.  She was handing these out tonight, and getting a few other Christmas treats as well.  She also made something for Mrs. Pam, a little gift basket for Christmas.

Afterwards, the three of us went to Mrs. Shobie's house for a KidPak Christmas party.  The staff showed up there, and we ate food and played games, and watched Christmas movies too.  Mommy won a game of "Pit," although we played that more than a few times.  We also played a few other card games, and board games too (Madison was in the living room playing a few of those).  The food was great, and so was the company.  It was frigid cold outside, but the warmth of our friends inside was all we needed.  It was a very nice night.

But it was a late night.  We're heading to bed now, quite tired.  The blankets are warm, and calling out to us:  "Come to bed!"

And we'll listen!
