1st Day of December!

Today was a pretty epic day for the family - we started together at 4:15 in the morning.  This picture above was taken well before six, I think.  We had to get up and go down to Gwinnett for some filming for an upcoming Free Chapel production - this picture was taken at a church down the road from us that we'd never been to before.  It was a nice big church!

Before starting out the day though, we had to stop and note that it was the first day of December!  That means it was time to take a link off the chain - that hanging month-long chain of twenty-five links.  It says we have twenty-four days to go, now that Madison has taken off a link.  Also, she discovered something under her tree:  a new present!  We're doing a bit of the advent story this month, day by day as always.

The gift is something we actually needed this morning, as she spent a bit of time waiting for Daddy and Mommy with making a video for a few weeks from now.  It's a magnet set where you can dress up Tinkerbell's friends in various outfits, which Madison enjoyed quite a bit.

As for the "movie," it was a bigger production - with about four guys on camera and sound and lighting.  Plus about four characters dressed up - that was Mommy's job to costume everyone and get props.  Daddy, meanwhile, was a character himself.  This video will be at the church in a bit.

This afternoon, we attempted a nap - Madison was successful.  Daddy slightly, and Mommy not so much.  We didn't have much time though:  it was back to practice for the Christmas drama.  Also, there was a lot of preparation for the new series coming up tomorrow, "All Aboard!"

Of course, we've done this series before.  We've also done what we're doing on the stage upstairs for the main sanctuary:  it's a skit where a several story-tellers go on about a Christmas-shopping tale, while two of us desperately attempt to provide the sound effects for the entire bit.  It's mercifully short!

Anyway, it's a really long day - we're still in on it too.  Lots going on today - another long and unfortunate day, really.  But in 24 hours, we'll all be a little more at peace...!
