The Queen of Hearts

The Queen of Hearts has found a heart - this may be due to a nice big hug from Madison today at church. It was a pretty big weekend for us in Wonderland: this past Wednesday, Alice spotted the cards painting the roses red, and today they took Alice to see the Queen. Along here in the story is the Pepper Cook.

Although it is a female in the original book, it is in fact a real character from "Alice in Wonderland," which sort of shows you how extensive our storytelling is for this series. We did not have the cook throwing all sorts of plates and so forth, but instead, putting pepper on everything - just as in the novel. Although it was in our stage presentation today, it was not the focal point. Today, we thought we'd talk more about love, and how the Queen of Hearts should probably change her attitude a bit. Which, of course, she does by the end of this part of the series. No more "Off with their heads!" Of course, that is until she realizes that her tarts are missing...

After work, Daddy arrived just in time to have a pretty hefty salad that Mommy made - and soon after that, it was time to play around with Madison some more. We went back to the Kinect for a bit, but then next we actually went back to church a bit this evening. Daycare was provided (or nightcare in this case), so we went to a couple's class, which was nice to go to. Madison had a good time with the other kids tonight as well - we're glad we went.

Tomorrow's schedule looks to be a bit on the sparse side. This is good, of course. We need the rest, and also we're looking for an opportunity to do a bit of home improvement. More on that tomorrow. But before we end this entry for the day, here's a photo of the "Alice in Wonderland" themed display cabinet that Mommy made at the church. It's just loaded with neat stuff!
