This morning we got up early, packed everything and headed off to school!
Only school doesn't start today. It starts tomorrow. Oops!
Still, Madison and Daddy got to see some snow on the ground in Hall County. There isn't anything here, but it still is downright chilly outside. Daddy and Madison were talking numbers, where he's trying to teach her which numbers are cold (twenty is clearly very, very cold), and which numbers are hot (eighty is a little warm). Seventy is juuuuust right.
We got home, and had a fun day together. Daddy and Madison went back to Disneyland by way of the Kinect - this time we went down the rabbit hole to Wonderland, which was lots of fun. Along these lines, our series at church has been splendid! Tomorrow night, we'll visit with some of the playing cards, who have been painting the roses red. Each service this month, Alice will be with us, along with our narrator and some unusual characters. Mommy is doing such a fine job with these costumes as well. This month, Daddy's character is the caterpillar. I have to practice my "exacatededly!"
January is already a few days old, and we're still cleaning up from Christmas a bit. We don't feel that guilty, as many in our neighborhood still have lights out. We're nearly done packing it up for another year, actually.
So what do we replace it with? This is the season of Chinese New Year for us - and another season I'll talk about shortly. But for Chinese New Year, we've got a few items to decorate with. Also, the movies to watch with Madison: "Kung Fu Panda," "Kung Fu Panda 2," "Mulan," "Mulan 2," "Big Bird goes to China," and a few others with Kai-Lan, as well as documentaries on pandas and places in China, such as the Forbidden City. Like Christmas movies in December, we go to these in January. And then when February comes along, we do the romantic comedies. Our lives, apparently, revolve around themes!
