Last Supper

I suppose this was the big thing today, our trip down to Atlanta - to Spaghetti Junction in particular - to visit a studio for the filming of our Last Supper segment of the upcoming Easter production.  As you can see, Mom got the disciple costuming worked out, and of course the clothing worn by our new Jesus.  We also picked up that table cloth from Hobby Lobby today - lots of driving today.  We are using some of the plates and bowls and cups as from before, although we've ordered some new items.  There are bits of pottery and baskets, and a few others got some great themed food for the event.  The end result looked fantastic.

Traffic has been terrible down in Atlanta, but I think that's a common thing.  That's my guess.  Anyway, we got the make up on everyone and spent the day largely filming this one scene.  Jesus was in our car, as was Camille and Hannah - the five of us drove down this morning and spent the day there.  At one point, I was able to pull out the camera, so I was happy to snap some pictures of the actors portraying our disciples, and there were other times where I snapped some photos with the cellphone.  Here's all those pictures:

Later on tonight, there was a UNITED night at FCY.  Uncle Reggie was back for FCY, so I raced home so I could then race over to the church with Maddie and get her there for a really great night with friends.  There were a lot of students there, which makes sense because the Georgia and South Carolina campuses were there all in one spot.

Fun night!  We're pretty tired though - long day.  That Atlanta traffic is a beast.  Yes, almost a Biblical beast.

"And lo, I beheld a great beast rising up from Midtown, wearing a crown of 285, and having many horns of I-75, I-85, I-20, and I-400.  And lo, three horns joined into one at a tangled weaving junction of spaghetti.  And look!  There camest four terrible riders from the midst, and yet lo, they could not go anywhere for the traffic waxed much wroth, and not even the Mark of the Peachpass could save.  And I saw a third of the drivers brought low, unable to return from whence they came, stuck in near everlasting torment where there was much weeping and gnashing of teeth."  - The Revelation of Traffic Apocalypse

We said our prayers tonight, thankful to be home.  But we have to do the Atlanta thing again tomorrow, and Maddie's got one more day where Big Brother is watching her and all the other seniors.  Time for some shut-eye!
