Senior Homecoming

Maddie's Senior Homecoming was tonight, and it was a wonderful evening.  Maddie spent a good deal of time getting herself ready tonight as Mom and I were doing a good bit of yard work outside.  It was just a nice day out there.  We were on the porch for a good bit, just reading and getting things ready for tomorrow too.  Maddie's friends showed up a few hours before the start time of the dance, and together we went over to downtown Gainesville for coffee at Inman Perk, and just around the square for a few photos of the girls, which you'll see here below.  They looked great, and right afterwards, we were off to the school for Homecoming 2024!

She took some pictures with her phone, of course, at the coffee shop, on the bridge, and at the dance itself.

The bridge is in Gainesville near the square.  People take Homecoming photos and Prom pictures on that spot frequently, and in fact there were a lot of Hall County people there in nice dresses and tuxes, posing for photos on the square.  The girls enjoyed the night though - I got a text at 10pm and went over to get Maddie afterwards, and she had plenty to talk about tonight afterwards.  She had a great time!

The rest of the day was spent getting ready for her.  Mom and I were doing a good bit of yard work, and decorating for the season too.  We got a lot done, in fact.  We closed out the evening with some reading, squeezing that in despite the late hour.  We said our prayers, and got to sleep quickly after that.  We've got a new series at KidPak tomorrow!
