So one thing of note today was the fact that Zack and Cody made a dinner reservation at Chef Gigi's fifteen years ago, one for 7:30 on November 16, 2023. This was making the rounds on various social media outlets. These two are in Rome and wanting to eat at a rather uppity restaurant. They meet Chef Gigi at the front desk:
CHEF GIGI: “I can squeeze you in at 7:30.”
CODY: “Ah, perfect."
CHEF GIGI: “... on Nov. 16, 2023."
CODY: "But that’s in 15 years."
ZACK: "What if I don't feel like Italian that day?"
This episode came out in 2009. We saw it a long time ago, and completely forgot about the joke until we heard it online recently. Maddie pointed this out, and so because of that, Mom actually made us Italian food tonight! It was spaghetti, of course, and we even watched this episode in its entirety while eating. Suffice to say, we celebrated Zack and Cody Reservation Day properly. I think the only thing upping that would be going to Rome, which we were a little busy for honestly.
It was a decent day otherwise. Maddie was at taekwondo tonight, adn after that she and I went to go get some of those ice cream flavors at Publix that we love - there are some Christmas flavors that we like to pick up, both egg nog and peppermint candy flavor. We got home and had some of that while watching an episode of "The Santa Clauses." Yummy!
Mom is getting the house more and more decorated for Christmas, adding a thing or two here or there, including a new topiary tree we found this summer that is now lit up and standing in our bedroom. It even has its own light switch on the wall! She's also working on costumes for our plays and productions, of course. I was working on a few things today, getting things ready for the weekend, as well as the productions. Music... backdrops... emails... we have another practice tomorrow night and then we get a whole week off.
The Wintersmith said his first words tonight, and it's somewhat eerie, sending shivers into Maddie and Mom - and the plush entourage sitting there to hear the story. I read some more from that, and then of course we said our prayers.
So another thing I've been reading is this latest Perry Stone Bible, and it took me a few days to get through Genesis 2. Yes, a few days. There's that much commentary written in this thing. The running joke amongst a few of us is the accomplishment of finishing one chapter. But it's been good.
